Okaaay , so today was really fun . I stayed home and hung out with my brother for most of the day , but then my friend Lauren came over around 2:30 , and we went swimming , and just hung out . So that was fun . I can’t wait until tomorrow . I’m going shopping with my mom . But anyways , I gotta request for poetry , so I would like to share . I wrote this poem about two months ago , in May . It was originally written in French , but I’ll post up the translated version . Please remember that it is not the original version , and it doesn’t sound nearly as good in English . Lol . It’s about this guy that I used to be really good friends with in New Jersey , but unfortunately , we’re no longer friends . But the poem is called The East Coast . Enjoy . :]
The East Coast
One warm summer morning,
while the world is waking up,
I left.
Because you are my favorite thing about the East Coast.
I’ll walk across mountains, and through forests,
to get to you.
I’ll have light steps,
And my chest will heave.
Without distraction, without doubt,
Swift, ready, bright eyes and a warm heart
Excitement coarsing through my body.
And when I finally see you I will know I’m right-
That you are my best friend, my everything.

I really dig this particularly the message that is conveyed. I’m very familiar with those types of friendships and relationships and I know how strangely overpowering they can be.
I’d like to see the French version. I’ve been studying the language myself and am curious to see how it would flow in its, for lack of a better term, natural state. If you don’t want to post it feel free to email me =]
I like it. :] But I like the French version more. <3
